Positive Grid Spark Amplifier -Getting Started Making Music

Getting started making music is easier with Positive Grid Spark Amplifier.  The more I investigate these awesome amplifiers the more impressed I become.  Even though I still have “old school” in the blood wanting a tube amp with dedicated analog effects, I see the value in the Spark Amplifier.

The amp functions as a USB interface for use with any DAW.  It comes with Studio One Prime if you don’t already have one.  There are an incredible array of sounds for your creative musical journey.  With iPhone or Android pairing the whole thing becomes incredible.

From Vox to Marshall, Mesa Boogie to Fender amp modeling and many besides, coupled with 10,000 effects it has a mind blowing array of possibilities.  The brilliant designers at Positive Grid made it very easy for anyone to use.

All the sounds are there, from clean and crunch, High gain and on to Heavy Metal its all there.  If you like Here, There and Everywhere, you got it in the can.  Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and Joe Bonamassa are all modeled and ready.

Lots of presets in the 40 Watt Amp.  You can create your own presets and upload them to the cloud in the app to share with others.  It also functions as a blue tooth speaker so you can stream any song you care to name.  Even better, you can have the Spark listen and then supply you the chords to learn the songs.

It has settings that will let you play a chord progression and it is smart and creates bass and drum parts to back you up.  The key to all of this amazing functionality is Positive Grid’s app that provides all this for you.

You can also use it with your acoustic guitar or a bass. Making it very possible to create entire songs via the USB hookup to your Computer and record whatever your imagination can conjure. The days ahead are going to be revolutionized by this technology as never before.

And it is very inexpensive.  It costs well under 300 dollars. I could rave about it all day.  Its best to hear it all for yourself.

  1. Damn, I wish I found his article years ago. Producing music is a passionate hobby of mine and one of the most frustrating things in the world is trying to digital replicate authentic guitar inputs. I was convinced that I would always need a musician to perform live while I use a microphone to record the amp. That doesn’t always sit well with the neighbors, though. Thanks again Chris

    • Thank you for commenting.  Yes the people at positive grid have been a revolutionary software company in recording for several years.  Now they implant their years of design experience into a physical amplifier and they are selling like hotcakes as the old saying goes.  This is especially innovating since the Spark Amplifier works as an interface and includes a copy of PreSonus Studio One Prime recording software.

All of this and it is priced at entry level amplifier price point.  Yet this is highly sought after even by professional musicians due to the value packed inside.  10,000 effects, Assists learning new songs providing the chord charts.   Play along with any song in your IPhone, Android or tablet.  On an on, more and more.

Comparing this to the way we started in years gone by is like a Dodge Neon to the Star Ship Enterprise.  Yes you can share the post with your FaceBook Group and Thank you.  Chris.

    • Punseet, Thank you for your comment here.  The technology behind this revolutionary amp looks to change the world as we enter the new normal as it is being called.  Meanwhile musicians have more sound possibilities at their hand than any band you care to name from even five years ago.  Many genius music makers will emerge with all this on tap as they say.  Keep listening and learning.  Chris.

    • Thank you Phillip for commenting.  I am amazed at this advancing technology allowing ordinary people access to so much power in such a small amp.  I can’t wait until mine gets here.  I have not until now really been a big fan of modeling amps but it’s over the top.  Time to catch up with the times.  Thank you again Phillip.  Chris.
